Yemen has been plagued with war since 2015, and as a result, is currently facing the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. 80% of its population is in urgent need of humanitarian aid and protection. This includes food, drinking water, and healthcare. The country is facing a pandemic (Covid-19), an epidemic (Cholera), war, and famine, all at the same time. Yemen’s health facilities are not able to support these problems all at once, since only half of them are functioning. This is where you (yes, YOU) come in.
I’ll be sharing some resources for you to learn more about what’s going on, and how you can help. Of course, my brief summary is not a complete rundown of the situation, and it is our individual duty to educate ourselves and others about the situation that Yemen is currently facing. With almost little to no media coverage, your voice is more important now than ever in doing your part to help Yemen. Try your best to stay educated and keep up with Yemeni news, even after people stop talking about it. You can do this by following hashtags such as #yemencrisis, #yemen, #redforyemen, and #yemencantwait on Instagram.
If you are able, donate to Yemen relief organizations. If you can’t do that, you can sign petitions. Here is a link which will connect you to all Yemen resources: https://yemenhumancrisis.carrd.co/

This is not a complete list of links and resources, but it is a great starting point to learn about what’s happening in Yemen and how to do your part in answering a desperate plea for survival.
Coronavirus is threatening to eliminate Yemen, and we cannot let that happen. Do your part, and encourage others to do theirs.
