Starting off the New Year

2020 has finally ended and one of the most chaotic years in history has passed. I know 2020 has been a hard year for most people with all the tragedies and hardships going on but I hope it all taught us a lesson. Whether that be, using your voice in order to call out injustices, learning how to stay safe and keep others protected, or simply just finally being able to work Zoom, I think we all took away something important.

And hopefully we can apply what we learned to make this year a little bit better. 2021 won’t fix all the problems that happened in 2020, change won’t happen drastically but it’s up to us to work for that change.

We don’t want this year to be a continuation of the last but it’ll certainly turn into it if we aren’t willing to do better. The pandemic is still happening and millions of people have caught Covid, yet a lot of people are still acting as if everything is okay. Our lives have changed incredibly and we still don’t know when things will return to normal, or if that is even a possibility at this point.

So I think that our main New Year’s resolution should be doing better than we did last year. I’m sure we all have room to improve and there are many things we can refine about ourselves. I hope that we can make the most out of this year despite everything going on.

And with that, I hope you guys stay safe! Please look out for your loved ones and yourselves!
