Original Poetry: Audacity

Audacity

You walk into the room

And create your space

You mark your ground

And hold me

Slowly, yet swiftly

And I am trembling

Because of your audacity

Your audacity to disillusion me

Your audacity to touch me

Your audacity to

Blind me

So much

That I forget it all

Everything that is wrong

With you, with this world

How is it

That the second you leave

everything comes back

Everything rushes back

Like a far-fetched wave

Gushing down my face

As individual tears

But in that single wave

Is the entire ocean

The ocean that

Is somehow capable

Of stopping time

When you define your presence

It is your audacity

Your audacity

Which I

Miserably lack.
